About the Rupes Wool Pad Rupes Blue Coarse Wool Polishing Pad is designed to work with the Rupes Big Foot Polisher. The Rupes Blue Coarse Wool Polishing Pad is designed for removing heavy swirl marks, swirl marks and oxidation from any color paintwork. The cutting version features a short and dense wool with foam backing and is perfect for use with heavy cutting polishing compound. The special combination of wool and foam allows for the true correction power of the product used and for maximum product coverage to achieve the highest quality results on ceramic lacquer. Follow these tips for better results with wool pads - Periodically check the pad during the polishing process. - Clean the pad when the pad surface begins to glaze over from polish build up. - We also recommend washing or spurring the pad prior to storing for future use. - Never use a screwdriver, fork or other stationary "tool" to spur a pad. This promotes the untwisting of the tufts and may damage the pad's backing. - We recommend using our PAD CONDITIONING BRUSH cleaning tool. - After washing, do not dry pads with high heat as this promotes wool shrinkage. - Let pads air dry or spin them using the buffer. - Keep pads in a clean location when not being used. This will minimize foreign particles from coming in contact with the buffing surface the next time you use the pad.

BigFoot’s random orbital movement creates high mechanical stresses on the foam polishing pads, generating an increase in internal temperature. The innovative “open cell” structure of the BigFoot foam polishing pads prevents the build-up of heat generated during the polishing process. In addition, this particular structure guarantees maximum efficiency in the polishing process with minimum downward vertical pressure from the operator. The center hole creates superior ventilation and heat dispersion through special channels in the backing pad. The innovative design of the truncated cone shape optimizes the performance of the large diameter orbit, and at the same time protects against accidental contact between the backing pad and the work surface.

Yellow Polishing Foam Pad This pad is the third step in the Rupes Big Foot Polishing System. The Yellow Polishing Foam Pad was designed to be used with Rupes Keramik Gloss Fine Gel Polish to remove light swirl marks, holograms, clay-induced marring, and other light paint imperfections. This pad finishes exceptionally well considering the mechanical polishing ability that it provides.

Green Medium Foam Pad This pad is the second step in the Rupes Big Foot Polishing System. The Green Medium Foam Pad is very dense in its construction and was designed to be used with Rupes Quarz Gloss Medium Gel Compound to remove swirl marks, water spots and other paint imperfections. This pad is aggressive enough for most applications on factory clear coat systems. Always follow this pad with a less aggressive pad/polish combination to maximize gloss and surface smoothness.

The DA FINE foam pad is the most versatile foam pad in the RUPES BigFoot range, delivering an effective rate of defect removal and capability for high-gloss finishing on most paint systems. Pair with RUPES DA-FINE polishing compound for moderate to fine defect removal, paint refinement, or final finishing after heavy compounding steps. This new pad provides the same great performing foam material as the current random orbital yellow foam, expanded to also work with gear-driven orbitals, just with a more vibrant shade of yellow.
